Dot Lane On The Steps At Mysteria, Wearing Her Pink Cancer Awareness Ribbon.
I'm also wearing G.L.A.M. Skinny Jeans (a 1L freebie) and the awesome new "Emily" dress (ssssssh.....don't tell Kit I'm wearing it as a coat) from CKS Designs.

I was visiting Mysteria this morning and started chatting with everyone's favorite security manager, Aryon Dagger, who is currently working to raise awareness about breast cancer and learned about a wonderful event which will be held in two weeks at Mysteria. Aryon kindly provided me with the following:
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
On October 26th, 2007, Mysteria and the Isle of Lesbos will be holding the first annual BIG PINK event. To be held on Mysteria, this day long event will consist of music, dancing, dragon rides, kissing booths, bobbing for apples and an auction.
If you are a creator and have something you would like to donate for the auction, please IM Aryon Dagger.
All lindens raised will go to organizations dedicated to fighting this disease.

This is an event for women only.

I will be there for at least part of the event and encourage everyone who can to attend. For those of you who can't, there are simple things you can do to examine yourself and help take charge of your own health: The Mayo Clinic's Guide to Breast Self-Examination. And while this event is for women only, I think it only fair to remind men that they they have their own self-examination that they should be aware of: The Mayo Clinic's Guide to Testicular Cancer.
The Susan G. Komen for the Cure organzation is a wonderful resource if you feel like making a RL donation.
